Mr. McCusker

asked the Secretary of State for Trade what is the total quota of imported Chinese woven cotton grey cloth for United Kingdom retention after payment of duty for the home market.

Mr. Deakins

There is no separate quotas for this item, but imports count against a quota which also covers yarns and other cotton and man-made fibre fabrics from China. This wider quota has been set at 3,690,000 sq. metres in 1975.

Mr. McCusker

asked the Secretary of State for Trade how the allocation of the the business for the time being with the sanction of the court, and the court has directed him to do so.
