HC Deb 07 March 1975 vol 887 cc532-3W
Mr. Edge

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will invite organisations of handicapped people to send representatives to the regional conferences of local education authorities and voluntary associations concerned with handicap, which are to be convened to discuss the problem of the education of handicapped people.

Mr. Armstrong

The regional conferences are being arranged by the local education authorities concerned, and it is for them to decide whom to invite. Subsequently there will be opportunities for organisations of the handicapped to make their views known during the reviews of provision for all handicaps in each region, which are likely to take some time.
