asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will arrange to survey teacher turnover in 1975.

No. The effects on turnover of improvements arising from the Houghton Committee's report will not be fully evident this year.

§ Mr. Freud
asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether he will set up a committee of inquiry to investigate the housing problems of teachers in inner city areas.

§ Mr. Armstrong
No. A working group comprising representatives of the Council of Local Education Authorities and the recognised associations of teachers in schools has just produced a report on housing for teachers, which is now being considered by the respective organisations.
