§ The Attorney-GeneralAs at 1st April 1975 there were 21 non-industrial civil servants employed in the Law Officers' Department and 9,744 in the Lord Chancellor's Department, including the staff employed in the higher courts throughout England and Wales.
The estimates of staff salaries, etc., for 1975–76 published in the Supply Estimates 1975–76 for the Law Officers' Department total £124,000 and for the Lord Chancellor's Department £16,978,000. These estimates are made up as follows:
