HC Deb 04 December 1975 vol 901 c704W
Mr. Arnold Shaw

asked the Secretary of State for Employment what annual subsidy has been paid in each of the last three years to the Blind Advisory Service Group, Remploy; and what is his estimate for the year and for 1976–77.

Mr. Harold Walker

No separate subsidy is paid to Remploy's Blind Advisory Services Group. Remploy's subsidy relates to its activities as a whole. The subsidy paid to Industrial Advisers to the Blind Ltd., which, when merged with Remploy on 1st April 1974, formed the Blind Advisory Services Group, was £96,000 in 1972–73 and £101,400 in 1973–74.
