asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many people included in the May, August and November 1975 counts of coloured unemployed workers were registered for employment at careers offices and how many at employment exchanges; and

UNEMPLOYED REGISTRANTS WHO WERE BORN, OR WHOSE PARENT(S) WERE BORN, IN CERTAIN COUNTRIES OF THE COMMONWEALTH AND PAKISTAN

Young people of immigrant descent form a relatively small proportion of the total number of unemployed young people. In August 1975 they represented 3.5 per cent. of a total of 190,086 registered as unemployed at that time.
