HC Deb 18 November 1974 vol 881 c340W
Mr. Anderson

asked the Secretary of State for Wales how many Welsh local authorities have used their statutory powers to acquire houses which would otherwise become second homes; and what advice has been given by his Department in relation to such acquisition.

Mr. John Morris

It is not possible to estimate how many of the houses acquired by local authorities would otherwise have become second homes. Advice to local authorities on the acquisition of properties generally is contained in my Circular 111/74.
