asked the Secretary of State for Wales how many cattle marketed in Wales have qualified for the premium for fat cattle since the inception of the scheme.

From the inception of the scheme on 5th August 1974 up to the week ending 9th November 1974, the latest date for which information is available, 48,559 cattle have been certified at live weight and dead weight centres in Wales as eligible for the beef premium.
