HC Deb 15 November 1974 vol 881 cc248-9W
Mr. Litterick

asked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make a statement on the type of weapons training now being given to members of the Army Cadet Force in Ulster.

Mr. Robert C. Brown

In common with Army cadet forces throughout the United Kingdom, those in Northern Ireland receive some training in handling the .22 and .303 rifle, with a view to taking part as senior cadets in competition shooting. This amounts to some 17 per cent. of the training programme.
