HC Deb 14 November 1974 vol 881 cc214-5W
Lord James Douglas-Hamilton

asked the Secretary of State for Trade if he will ensure that by the time that the new runway at Turnhouse becomes operational, the radar installations and observation posts at Turnhouse will not be of inferior standard to other airports in Great Britain and that priority will be given to making certain that flights will land and take off in complete safety at all times.

Mr. Clinton Davis

Responsibility for the provision and operation of air navigation services at Edinburgh Airport rests with the Civil Aviation Authority.
