asked the Secretary of State for Trade what his response is to the call of the British Tourist Authority, set out in its annual report for the year ended March 1974, for the Government to formulate a national tourist policy.

I am considering with my right hon. Friends the Secretaries of State for Scotland and for Wales what further guidance needs to be given to the British Tourist Authority and the three national tourist boards on promoting the development of tourism to and within Great Britain.
