§ Mr. Kilfedderasked the Secretary of State for Trade what are the circumstances in which the firm of Western Jet was permitted to continue operations after expenditure of the bond held by the Civil Aviation Authority on 31st March 1974, with resultant loss to clients who had paid their air fares in advance.
§ Mr. ShoreThis is a matter for the Civil Aviation Authority and I have asked the Chairman to write to the hon. Gentleman. It is the Government's intention that those customers of Western Jet who had paid for their flights and who lost them when the company ceased trading should be compensated.
