asked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection when she expects the report of the Price Commission on the difference between the price paid to farmers in markets for fatstock and the price charged over the counter to customers to be published.

As my hon. Friend the Under-Secretary explained in his reply to the Member for Cornwall, North (Mr. Pardoe) on 8th November, the in-depth study of meat and poultry prices on which the Price Commission is now engaged is complex and bound to take some time. But I have asked the chairman of the commission to give it top priority.
