asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list in the OFFICIAL REPORT the water authorities in England which receive water impounded in Wales, and the average daily consumption of water from sources in Wales of each of those authorities.

The North-West Water Authority receives on average 233 megalitres a day from Lake Vyrnwy and 18 megalitres a day from the Alwen reservoir. The Severn-Trent Water Authority receives on average 341 megalitres a day from the Elan Valley reservoirs.
