HC Deb 21 May 1974 vol 874 c130W
Mr. Bishop

asked the Secretary of of State for the Environment if, in his review of British Rail policy, he will consider extending the use of railways in the light of forecasts of the increased use of roads by heavy vehicles from the Continent.

Mr. Mulley

I would refer my hon. Friend to the answer given to the hon. Member for West Bromwich, East (Mr. Snape) on 3rd April.—[Vol. 871, c. 378.] These forecasts are being taken into account.
