Mr. Hooson

asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he is aware that the costs of the successful objectors at the public inquiry into the Welshpool bypass scheme have still not been paid, three years after the inquiry was held; and what he intends to do about the matter.

Only one claim, by the Welshpool Bypass Action Committee, first received in October 1972, remains to be settled. Payment is expected to be made within the next few days.
