§ Mr. John Robertsonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what advice he has received from the council set up under Section 7 of the Social Work (Scotland) Act 1968 on the workings of local authority social service departments and to the problems arising from the shortages of staff.
§ Mr. William RossA report on fieldwork staffing by the staffing committee of the Advisory Council on Social Work will be published shortly, and I propose to seek the views of local authorities and other bodies on its recommendations.
