§ Mr. Gordon Wilsonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland which schools 116W in Dundee are understaffed; and what is the extent of the problem in each case.
§ Mr. William RossThe education authority is best able to provide detailed information of this kind.
At September 1973, the latest date for which I have figures, no primary schools in Dundee had less than the minimum complement of teachers prescribed in regulations. There are at present no prescribed complements for secondary schools; but at September 1973 the overall pupil-teacher ratio of 15.5:1 in secondary schools in Dundee compared favourably with the national ratio of 16.0:1.
