§ Mr. Brewisasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what consultations she has had with the Commission of the European Community about possible help for thalidomide children.
§ Mr. Alfred MorrisOne of the objectives of the Community's Social Action Programme is the vocational and social integration of handicapped persons. A recent Council decision also extended the scope of the European Social Fund to include support for measures aimed at fitting the handicapped for full employment. In the development of Community provision for the handicapped, I shall have very much in mind the needs of thalidomide and of other severely handicapped children.
