HC Deb 31 July 1974 vol 878 cc425-6W
Mr. Warren

asked the Secretary of State for Trade if he will examine the need to continue an import surcharge on imported steel products in view of the British Steel Corporation's ability of supply all requirements.

Mr. Deakins

There are import duties on steel products some of which are at present suspended until 30th September. The British steel industry is being consulted on the question whether suspensions of duty should be continued beyond that date.
