§ Mr. McNamaraasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will give the number of internees that have been released in the period 16th-30th July; how many are male; how many female; for what length of period they have been detained; whether they were released by executive order of the Secretary of State or by the Commissioners; and how many interim custody orders he signed in the same period of time.
§ Mr. OrmeDuring the period 16th-30th July, 24 people all male, have been 377W released from detention, 13 by the Secretary of State and 11 by the commissioners During this period the Secretary of State signed five interim custody orders. The periods of detention of the released were as follows:
