HC Deb 23 July 1974 vol 877 c448W
Mr. Biggs-Davison

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what has been the cost to public funds of the Race Relations Board since its inception.

Mr. Alexander W. Lyon

The grant paid by the Home Office to the board during the period 1968–69 to 1973–74 was just under £1.18 million. This does not include the cost to public funds of providing accommodation and certain other items, figures for which are not readily available and could not be obtained without disproportionate cost.
