§ Mr. MeacherMy right hon. Friend the Secretary of State announced in the House on 23rd May the procedure and the order for dealing with the British Steel Corporation's planned closures under the development strategy it agreed with the previous Government. These closures are meanwhile in suspense. The corporation will submit its detailed proposals for Scotland for consideration when my review reaches the appropriate stage.
