Mr. George Grant

asked the Secretary of State for Industry what progress has been made on the building of the advance factory for Ashington that was announced by his predecessor in June 1973.

Tender difficulties and delay in the delivery of structural steel have been encountered. Building is now expected to start within the next two months with completion about mid-1975.
