§ Mr. Hooleyasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what is Her Majesty's Government's policy toward the proposal for an "Economic Observatory" to keep watch on raw materials markets as proposed by the United Nations General Assembly to its Economic and Social Council.
§ Mr. EnnalsThe proposal for an "Economic Observatory" is one of a number of proposals which the Special Session of the United Nations General Assembly has referred to the Economic and Social Council. The possibility of merging certain of these proposals is being considered by their sponsors, and it is not yet know, therefore, in what form the present meeting of the Economic and Social Council in Geneva will be asked to consider the proposal.
