This information is not available in the Home Office as the grant of licences, or the registration of war charities, under these Acts rests with the local licensing or registration authorities respectively. The Home Office is concerned solely with the issue of orders of exemption under Section 3 of the 1939 Act to charities operating throughout the whole, or a substantial part, of England and Wales. No such order has been isued in respect of the IRA or any organisation known to be associated with it.
