HC Deb 09 July 1974 vol 876 c453W
Mr. George Cunningham

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department why there was a delay from 24th January till 14th March between the decision of the Metropolitan Police to dispose of police flats at Charles Rowan House, Finsbury, and the notification of the Department of the Environment under the redundant lands procedure.

Dr. Summerskill

The Department of the Environment was notified of the availability of Charles Rowan House on 4th March. The delay from 24th January was due to extreme pressure of other administrative work in the Receiver's Estates Branch at that time.
