§ Mr. ChannonThe total number of listed buildings in England at December 1973 was 183,444, an increase of approximately 20,000 or 12½ per cent. over the figure of 163,155 at the end of 1972. Analogous figures for Scotland and Wales are the responsibility of my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland and my right hon. and learned Friend the Secretary of State for Wales.
