§ Mr. Rifkindasked the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) when he expects to receive the final request from Edinburgh Corporation with regard to Government approval for the proposed Wester Hailes Secondary School;
(2) whether he will take steps to ensure a speedy consideration of Edinburgh Corporation's proposals with regard to the proposed Wester Hailes Secondary School; and if he is satisfied that he has sufficient staff to enable him so to do.
§ Mr. William RossI understand that Edinburgh Education Authority expects to be ready to apply for final approval for this project next spring. When448W received, the application will be given priority in view of its urgency, and I do not foresee any difficulty about arranging for this to be done.
