§ Mr. John Evansasked the Secretary of State for Trade what has been the total cost, to the latest available date, of building and developing Ringway Airport, Manchester and Speke Airport, Liverpool, respectively.
§ Mr. Clinton DavisI am informed by the Manchester District Council and the Liverpool District Council, the proprietor authorities concerned, that capital costs of some £20 million have been incurred at Manchester Airport since it opened in 1938, and of some £4.5 million at Liverpool Airport since it was derequisitioned in 1961.
