§ Mr. Laurance Reedasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what request he has received from the Government of Bermuda for an extension of their fisheries jurisdiction beyond the 12-mile limit; and what reply was sent.
§ Mr. AmeryThe Governor of Bermuda requested authority to extend the fishing limits of Bermuda to 25 miles in April 1970. He was informed that such an extension would be contrary to international law and could not be authorised.
