HC Deb 03 May 1972 vol 836 cc142-3W
Mr. McElhone

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland, as Glasgow has 150.000 council houses, how many new houses the Corporation will have to build at present day prices before they qualify for Housing Expenditure Subsidy on the enactment of the Housing (Financial Provisions) (Scotland) Bill.

Mr. Gordon Campbell:

Housing expenditure subsidy will take account not only of the cost of new building but also of increases in debt charges, and in expenditure on repairs, maintenance and management falling on the housing revenue account.
