§ 43. Mr Ashleyasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will circulate to all local authorities tables covering the following periods: 1965–66, 1966–67, 1967–68, 1968–69 and 1969–70, and showing, respectively, the number of physically-handicapped persons per thousand population registered by each local authority, in rank order, and the average annual amount spent by each local authority, in rank order, per person registered.
§ Mr. AlisonI have no doubt that local authorities are aware of the figures published in the OFFICIAL REPORT on 23rd and 24th February last, and I see no advantage in circularising them. The figures are in any event not reliable indicators of provision of services for the handicapped.—[Vol. 812, c.75–80; c. 183–190.]
