HC Deb 04 May 1971 vol 816 cc300-1W
44. Mr. Alfred Morris

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what action he intends taking under the provisions of Section 28 of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act, 1970.

Mr. Alison

I would refer the hon. Member to my right hon. Friend's reply to the hon. Member for Walthamstow, West (Mr. Deakins) on 22nd April.—[Vol. 815, c.447–8.]

Mr. Alfred Morris

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will call for returns from county and county borough councils showing their methods of implementing the provisions of Section 2 of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act, 1970.

Mr. Alison

We would not regard it as reasonable to call for special returns of this kind at the present time in view of the burdens imposed on authorities by the current reorganisation of their social services administration.
