Mr. Pardoe

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science by what year she expects to be in sight of replacing all primary schools in Cornwall built before 1903.

My right hon. Friend aims to achieve the replacement or major improvement of those 19th century primary schools for which there is a long-term need as quickly as possible but she cannot be expected to commit herself to particular dates for individual authorities.
