Friend the Secretary of State for the Home Department, after consulting the Government of Northern Ireland, has nominated, under By-law No 12 of the British Council, Professor J. L. McCracken, M.A., Ph.D., of the New University of Ulster to succeed the late Mr. J. E. Sayers who died in August, 1969.
