§ Mr. ChannonThe actual tender approvals for this year will be known shortly and I would ask the hon. Member to await that information. No firm programme was set for this year but the Government's aim is to encourage authorities to build up to—or in some cases substantially above—their previous best rate.

I understand that the G.L.C. will shortly be taking steps to bring the information up to date, and the hon. Member may like to approach them direct in due course.
