§ Mr. Anthony GrantVirtually all goods from South Africa are accorded duty-free entry into this country. The scheme for generalised preferences recently agreed at U.N.C.T.A.D. should provide for duty-free entry for most goods from developing countries.
§ Mr. Juddasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether he will make a statement on the Government's policy towards the continuance of Commonwealth trade preference to the Republic of South Africa.

§ Mr. Anthony GrantThe preferential arrangements with South Africa assist our trade in both directions. Our present policy is to maintain them subject to any changes that may be necessary if our negotiations with the European Economic Community are successful.
