HC Deb 09 November 1970 vol 806 c2W
42. Mr. W. T. Williams

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what action he proposes to take to prevent the abuse of tendering for work on public buildings by companies who form rings to agree the amounts of their estimates and by other like practices.

Mr. John Davies

These practices are already covered by existing legislation, and the Restrictive Practices Court has recently condemned certain agreements relating to collusive tendering in the electric contracting industry.
