§ Mr. Andersonasked the Minister of Transport what action he intends to take on the Road Research Laboratory recommendations that the tail ends of lorries should be modified as a safety measure to prevent cars under-running them.
Mr. Bob Brown:These recommendations will be carefully considered. So far as conspicuity is concerned, we have already prepared draft regulations which, if made, would require large vehicles and trailers to be fitted at the rear end with reflective and fluorescent materials.
