28. Mr. Judd

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what was the number of general practice health centers in England and Wales in each of the past seven years; and whether he will make a statement.

Mr. Crossman:

In 1963 there were 23 health centres. On 31st March, 1970, there were 155. 180 further health centres are being built or have been approved. I will circulate full details in the OFFICIAL REPORT.
