(2) how many maternity beds are currently available to medical general practitioners at Forth Park, Kirkcaldy; what has been the usage of such beds by general practitioners in the last 12 months; and in which areas those general practitioners practised.

§ Mr. Ross:General medical practitioners can admit 16 patients a month to Forth Park Maternity Hospital, Kirkcaldy. In the 12 months ended 31st March, 1970, 91 patients in the care of general practitioners from Kirkcaldy and three in the care of general practitioners in the Kinghorn area were admitted. When not required by general practitioners the accommodation is used if required for patients in the care of consultant staff but information about the extent of this use is not available.
