asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what payment is being made to Sir Henry Wells upon his relinquishing his appointment as Chairman of the Land Commission on 30th June, 1970.

Mr. Denis Howell:

Sir Henry Wells is relinquishing his appointment at the end of his term of office, and there is no question of any special payment over and above his normal remuneration.
