HC Deb 26 March 1970 vol 798 cc528-9W
Mr. Brooks

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether, in view of Her Majesty's Government's special responsibilities towards Berlin and Germany as a whole, he will make a statement on the constraints which it is the United Kingdom's policy to maintain, pending a final German Peace Treaty, upon those diplomatic initiatives of the Federal Government which are based upon the concept of a single German nation but two German states.

Mr. Foley

Her Majesty's Government see no reason to place any restraints on the Federal Government's Eastern policies, which we fully support.
