HC Deb 11 March 1970 vol 797 c304W
28. Mr. Dodds-Parker

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what factors, other than bad weather, have led to the increase in the prices of fish in recent months.

Mr. Hoy

Fish prices are seasonal and particularly sensitive to changes in supply and demand. They tend to rise at this time of year and in addition there have been low yields on some of our fishing grounds. It would be impossible to evaluate all the factors which affect prices.
