HC Deb 16 July 1970 vol 803 cc248-9W
56. The Rev. Ian Paisley

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether, in view of the fact that the names of many 18-year-olds appearing on the electoral registers were struck off by returning officers at the General Election, he will now seek powers to make himself responsible for ensuring the accuracy of electoral registers in Northern Ireland.

Mr. Sharples

My right hon. Friend sees no reason for altering the law in this respect.
