HC Deb 28 January 1970 vol 794 cc358-9W
Mr. Buchanan-Smith

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what was the original date planned for opening the coronary care unit in Aberdeen; what is now the planned date; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Ross

I understand from the North-Eastern Regional Hospital Board that building work will be completed by the end of this month, which is more than three months ahead of schedule. The provision of this unit is being financed from a private benefaction. The date of opening will depend on the time taken to equip it and the availability of staff.
