HC Deb 23 January 1970 vol 794 cc223-4W
Mr. Pavitt

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will review his arrangements for informing pharmacists of major decisions of the Committee on Safety of Drugs to ensure that matters such as the recent advice on oral contraception do not reach them via national newspapers.

Mr. Crossman

The Committee on Safety of Drugs is reviewing its arrangements for conveying to the professions concerned its views about adverse reactions to drugs, and will no doubt take into account the views expressed to it by the Pharmaceutical Society in a recent letter.
