HC Deb 23 January 1970 vol 794 c223W
Mr. Pavitt

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what alternative centres are now available for the distribution of welfare foods in that area of Willesden, West, previously served by the Willesden Social Club in Rucklidge Avenue; and what distance mothers will now need to travel to secure their supplies.

Dr. John Dunwoody

I understand that distribution of welfare foods at the Willesden Social Club will cease in April, 1970 because of the small demand. Alternative distribution centres will then be at the Pound Lane Clinic, N.W.10, and the Stonebridge Clinic, Hillside, N.W.10, both about one mile from the Willesden Social Club (to the north-east and northwest respectively) and both on bus routes.
