HC Deb 22 January 1970 vol 794 c189W
Mr. Lomas

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government how the number of houses in the County Borough of Huddersfield compares with the national figures on the number of dwellings without a fixed bath or inside toilet at the latest available date.

Mr. Freeson

The 1966 sample census showed that there were 10,800 households (23.5 per cent.) in the county borough of Huddersfield without a fixed bath and 9,700 (21.2 per cent.) without an inside water closet. The comparable figures for Great Britain were 2,617,000 (15.4 per cent.) and 3,118,000 (18.4 per cent.) respectively.
